10am to 1pm on First Fridays of the Month. We take a break in December and January, without events.
No experience necessary - just bring your enthusiasm. We welcome individuals, families, and groups who would like to do good removing noxious weeds and installing native plants – rain or shine!
We will provide tools. Please bring a water bottle, layers for the weather, and tough shoes and clothes that can get muddy. Bring gloves if you have them, but we have some you can borrow, too.
We aim to engage Normandy Park and the surrounding area's residents, community groups, and others in recognizing the vital advantages our urban forests contribute to the area's environmental, social, and economic well-being. Urban forests provide many benefits including, but not limited to:
Enhanced human wellness
Improved air quality and mitigated wind effects
Reduction in stormwater runoff and erosion, which ameliorates flooding issues
Enhancement of wildlife habitat
We look forward to restoring with you!
