We aim to engage Normandy Park and the surrounding area's residents, community groups, and others in recognizing the vital advantages our urban forests contribute to the area's environmental, social, and economic well-being. Urban forests provide many benefits including, but not limited to:
- Enhanced human wellness
- Improved air quality and mitigated wind effects
- Reduction in stormwater runoff and erosion, which ameliorates flooding issues
- Increased shade and cooling for fish-bearing streams, such as Thornton Creek
- Enhancement of wildlife habitat
- Increase in property values
We look forward to restoring with you!
